The Institute of Government Library's information services
and collections support the instructional and research programs
of the Institute of Government. Traditional library services
are available to all residents of North Carolina and additional
services are available to all state and local government
personnel, both elected and appointed.

periodical subscriptions, and 20,500 pamphlets relating
to these subjects.
The Library lends books and other materials to any North
Carolina resident with proper identification or University
of North Carolina student with a UNC One Card. Overdue fines
are $.50 per day with a maximum overdue fine of $15.00.
Charges for lost of damaged books are based on replacement
cost plus a per-item processing charge.
The Library is open to the public 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
