Courses and Conferences

The School of Government offers up to 200 courses, workshops, and professional conferences each year. The state and local government officials who attend these programs find not only expert training but also ample opportunities to network with their peers from across North Carolina. View a list of courses by title. Learn more about the scholarship award sponsored by the Local Government Federal Credit Union. Before registering for a course, please read the School of Government's cancellation policy.

The School of Government is committed to equality of educational opportunity. The School does not discriminate in offering access to its educational programs and activities on the basis of race, color, gender, age, national origin, religion, creed, disability, veteran's status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. If you have a disability and need accommodation to participate in any School of Government program, please let us know.

Note: As of January 1, 2008, UNC-Chapel Hill expanded its no-smoking policy to prohibit smoking in outdoor areas up to 100 feet from University facilities; smoking inside these facilities was already prohibited.
