Eileen Youens joined the School of Government in 2007. She previously practiced law with Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice in Raleigh and with Vinson & Elkins in Dallas, and she clerked for the Honorable A. Joe Fish, Chief Judge of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar. Youens earned a bachelor’s degree in music literature from Southwestern University and a law degree from Southern Methodist University, where she served as editor-in-chief of the SMU Law Review.
